For complete beginners, we HIGHLY recommend the pre-soldered + Combat Ready Controller.

If you have experience with building robots or RC vehicles, and already own a controller compatible with Flysky FS2A protocol (AFHDS 2A), we recommend the Pre-Soldered [no controller] kit.

ZIPZOP FAQs

CAN I REALLY BUILD A ROBOT?

Yes! 

We've made this kit ultra-simple: No soldering, no radio programming, and only one screwdriver needed for the whole build. With our written and video tutorials, troubleshooting guide, and support, we'll get you building and fighting robots!

WHY ZIPZOP?

Once you've built your kit, you can dive right into the best parts of fighting robots: driving, learning, and upgrading! ZipZop is easy to upgrade, and we'll show you how to get started. Explore 3D modeling, 3D printing, electronics, engineering design, and more!

ZipZop's front forks and wheel guards use "dovetail" slots to make them easy to replace OR upgrade with new forks that you design and print yourself! Base CAD files are included with your purchase. More upgrade tutorials coming soon!

Unlike bots with spinning weapons (which should only be operated in an arena), ZipZop can also be driven at home! Great for driving practice!

WHAT IF I MESS UP?

You might, and that's completely okay! Combat robotics is ALL ABOUT learning from your mistakes. We provide a troubleshooting guide that walks you through how to fix common mistakes. Most are fixable in just a few minutes!

Great kit that is really well designed finished product. My wife having never built anything like this before, but followed the easy to understand video and instruction booklet. The one issue that challenged her during the build was solved by looking at excellent troubleshooting guidance.
